Since the early 1930’s the Hurricane, a New Orleans cocktail of passionfruit, rum, and crushed ice served in a glass shaped like a hurricane lamp, has been a staple on Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. Identical to that of Bourbon Street staple Pat O’Briens, Franco’s has been making their version of Hurricane mix since 1974. Established by Richard and Brenda Franco, Franco’s brings the authentic taste of New Orleans and Mardi Gras to the masses.
