Product Description

is a Fire-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves into Arcanine when exposed to a Fire Stone. In Hisui, Growlithe has a dual-type Fire/Rock regional form. It evolves into Hisuian Arcanine when exposed to a Fire Stone. Growlithe is simultaneously a cat and a dog. Though referred to as a Puppy Pokemon and generally considered to be a dog, Growlithe is based on the “Guardian Lions” from Chinese mythology which, through cultural shifting to Korea and then to Japan, became known as “Lion Dogs” elsewhere. Growlithe is a quadrupedal canine Pokémon. It has orange fur with black stripes along its back and legs. The fur on its muzzle, chest, belly, and tail is beige, as is an additional tuft of fur on top of its head.

Product Highlights

  • Growlithe into Arcanine at any time using a Fire Stone. There is no minimum or maximum level, so players can evolve a Growlithe at level one or level 100. Fire Stones can also be purchased at the Delibird Presents shop in Mesagoza for just $3,000, letting players easily evolve as many Growlithes as they like.
  • Growlithe: from GROWL. Growlithe is a dog-like Pokemon, so presumably Growlithe growls like a dog. The -LITHE ending is of disputed origin. Perhaps it is from the Greek LITHOS, meaning “stone” and referring to Growlithe's strength.
  • Growlithe is already known as the Puppy Pokemon, with all the mannerisms and playfulness of a puppy, and it just ends up turning into a dog.
