Close all the metal latches when you need to move and relocate your beehive. This will keep your bees inside the hive (when not relocating, keep entrances open or partially open to minimize robbing) . Provides more circulation and airflow than traditional entrance reducers . Install early in the morning or late in the evening when your honey bees are in the hive. Some folks use cords, screws, nails or tape to attach the screen (use what works best for you and your hive). FOR BEST CARE: We recommend any wooden hive component surface that is exposed to the elements to be protected with exterior primer and paint before use. Only prime and paint the outside, NEVER the inside where the bees live.
