About the Author

Erika Werner, MD, MS is Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Alpert Medical School of Brown University Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine and Associate Professor of Epidemiology in the School of Public Health, Brown University. She is also the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Director at Women & Infants Hospital and the NICHD Maternal Fetal Medicine Network alternate PI. Her areas of expertise include diabetes in pregnancy, preeclampsia and preterm birth and cost-effective analysis.
