After cooking, the trivet acts as a spacer between the pot and lid for air circulation. Resistant to very high and extremely low temperatures: -140 degrees F to 446 degrees F (-40 degrees C to 230 degrees C). Eyelet allows the trivet to be hung up when not in use. Should the Petromax Trivet ever become heavily soiled or greasy, it can simply be cleaned lying flat in the dishwasher. It also serves as an anti-slip base when you clean your pot.
