About the Book
The board book "Whoever you are" is a vow to babies that they will be loved no matter who they become. Along with the message of acceptance, little ones will be engaged by colorful illustrations and rhythmic and rhyming text.Book Synopsis
Quiet and loud, soft and strong. You being you, there's no way to be wrong... Whoever You Are is a vow to babies that they will be loved no matter their gender expression. Every day, parents come home from the hospital with a brand-new human being. What if we made vows to our babies to love them no matter what? What if the world didn't rush in to judge our little ones and instead made them feel truly seen and supported? Whoever You Are is a pledge to babies that they will be loved no matter their gender expression. With bright, inclusive illustrations and exuberant rhythm and rhyme, Whoever You Are is a joyful promise that little ones will love to hear over and over.Review Quotes
"Bright colors and minimalist illustrations make this inclusive, rhyming book engaging and easy to follow as it assures children in no uncertain terms that they are worthy of and will be provided love, no matter who or what they become." --Foreword Reviews
"Don't let the simplicity of this book fool you - If every parent read their child books like these early on, raising inclusive, loving kids would be as easy as teaching them to say 'please' and 'thank you.'" --Sarah Lacy, Founder and CEO at ChairmanMe
"With effusively inclusive rhyming language, Wai Lin crafts a promise of unconditional love from guardian to child...this affectionate volume imbues a classic 'be yourself' narrative with gender-expansive affirmations, positioning guardians as partners in their children's journey to 'find what's authentic & true.' " --Publishers Weekly
